Center for Peatland and Disaster Studies (CPDS), Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Universitas Riau, successfully organized a workshop entitled “Scientific Writing, Information Network Development, and Organizational Governance” on October 9–11, 2025.
This activity aimed to enhance the capacity of human resources within CPDS in producing reputable scientific publications, expanding research collaboration networks, and strengthening professional and sustainable organizational governance. The workshop was attended by researchers, lecturers, and administrative staff of CPDS, and featured speakers from academia and professional institutions with extensive experience in scientific writing, research center management, and information networking.
In his opening remarks, the Head of CPDS LPPM Universitas Riau (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Sigit Sutikno, ST., MT.) emphasized that this activity is part of a strategic effort to reinforce PUI-GK’s role as a leading research and innovation center focusing on peatland and disaster issues. It also supports Universitas Riau’s vision to become a research-based university of excellence at both national and international levels.
Through this workshop, participants are expected to strengthen their skills in writing scientific articles for reputable journals, broaden collaborative networks across institutions, and improve adaptive and effective organizational governance in response to the rapid development of science and technology.
