About ICOPRI 2026
The International Conference on Peatland Research and Innovation (ICOPRI) 2026 is the first international conference organized by the PUI Gambut & Kebencanaan Universitas Riau, also known as the Center for Peatland and Disaster Studies, Universitas Riau. This conference serves as a global platform that brings together researchers, academics, engineers, policymakers, industry professionals, environmental practitioners, and students to exchange knowledge, research findings, and innovative solutions related to sustainable development, climate resilience, and responsible engineering practices.

ICOPRI 2026 aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and strengthen international partnerships in addressing global environmental challenges, particularly those associated with peatland ecosystems, climate change, disaster mitigation, sustainable infrastructure, renewable resources, and community resilience.
The conference highlights the important role of engineering, science, innovation, and technology in creating sustainable living systems while enhancing society’s adaptive capacity toward environmental and climate-related risks.
